Radford, Cyril James

Cyril Radford was born on the 25th June 1895 and was baptised on the 4th August 1895 in All Saints Church Mackworth, the son of James Edward & Priscilla Ellen Radford. The 1901 census records the family living at The Post Office, Mackworth and his father occupation given as Postmaster and Sexton.
Cyril’s war was very short as he joined the newly formed RAF on the 19th July 1918 and was transferred into the reserve on the 22nd February 1919. His occupation at that time was given as a mechanical engineer. He was described as being 5ft 4 ¾ ins tall with medium brown hair and brown eyes.
He married Alice Burrows about 1930.
